Why do I need to complete this application?
You have indicated that you would like to upgrade your Visa Prepaid Card. To satisfy issuer and compliance requirements, we are required to check a cardholder's identity by collecting and verifying information before providing an upgraded card.
What personal information will you be verifying?
For electronic identity verification we ask you to provide personal information (your full name, residential address and date of birth) via an Australian Driver License.
How will my information be verified?
For electronic identity verification your personal information will be uploaded to an external organisation in order to electronically match your ID on their databases. This information is securely screened against credible data sources to comply with global regulations.
What will you do with my data?
We will only use data provided for the purpose of verifying your identity with an approved external organisation as required by the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006. If we are unable to verify your identity electronically, we may need to verify your identity by other means. We will not retain your data for any further requirements once approved.
What if I don’t want to provide my ID?
If we are unable to verify you, we will not be able to upgrade your Visa Prepaid Card. However, you can continue using your Visa Prepaid Card with the standard card limit.
What if I don’t have a driver license?
If you don’t have a driver license, please contact the iChoose team and we will help you with an alternative ID verification.
Do I need to provide a copy of my driver license?
No, you will not need to provide a copy of your driver license. As long as your have entered your details correctly into the online application form, we will not require a copy.
Will this show on my credit history?
Identity verification is not an enquiry on your creditworthiness. Electronic identity verification does not leave evidence of an enquiry on your credit record.
What does "Visa Card Provided By" in the application mean?
The company that supplied you with the Prepaid Visa Card.
I have submitted my application, what happens next?
Once you have successfully submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number. Please ensure you keep this email on file if you have any further questions regarding your application. You will receive an outcome of your application via email within 10-14 working days.
My application has been denied, what do I do now?
You will be able to continue to use your Visa Prepaid Card at its standard card limits.
If you have entered incorrect details, you are able to submit a new application via verify.ichoosecard.com.au ensuring all details provided are correct as per your driver license.
